Elche and Almeria earned a point each after the match ended 1-1, the first of the season for both clubs. Elche maintained control in the first half, where both teams scored, Sadiq scoring the first goal for Almeria after 23 minutes of play and Collado equalizing for the home side 7 minutes after the first goal.
