Bayer leverkusen secured their first win of this season's Bundesliga campaign by scoring three goals in the first half against Mainz 05 at the MEWA Arena on Saturday. Exequiel Palacios scored the first goal in the 29th minutes when his shot took a nick off a defender and went past the keeper. Jeremie Frimpong added a brace in the 39th and 41st minutes of the game to secure the win for the visitors.
